Dara Lacy

Innovation Learning Specialist

As the Innovative Learning Specialist, Dara works to engage with educators, administrators, and students to provide 1-on-1 coaching and resource support for digital fabrication lab teachers, assist with development and facilitation of professional learning for teacher and school administrators, and support the documentation and sharing of impact stories in schools across Chattanooga and North Georgia.


Dara came to PEF with 16 years of elementary school experience where she taught math, science, and digital fabrication.  Dara is a former eLab Specialist and is skilled at marrying academic content, 21st century skills, and project-based learning to create rich learning experiences for students.  Dara is committed to finding ways for all students to be successful at school and strives to create learning experiences they will remember forever.


Outside of work, Dara enjoys spending time cooking, hiking, camping, and being with her family.  She has been married to her husband, Brandon, since 2004 and they have two boys, Will and Ben.
