As a Residency Coach with Project Inspire, Owen is dedicated to transforming education by ensuring students from all backgrounds have a phenomenal teacher prepared to teach on Day One. He works to provide a supportive yet rigorous environment for new teachers to grow, as well as offer opportunities for those who have graduated from the program to continue learning and leading.

Owen has participated in a plethora of PEF opportunities during his time as a teacher, including STEM Fellows, Fund for Teachers, and the Lending Library; having been a Project Inspire resident himself, Owen has a deep understanding of the program's impact and potential. His teaching journey includes stints in science at Tyner Middle and Orchard Knob Middle, as well as ELA and Math at Harrison Elementary and Clifton Hills Elementary.

Owen holds a Master’s in Teaching from Lee University and a B.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Hope College. His academic background and hands-on experience equip him to guide new teachers with expertise and empathy.

Beyond his professional life, Owen enjoys spending time outdoors, gardening, tackling home improvement projects, and being with his dogs. Whether he’s coaching teachers or cultivating his garden, Owen’s love for learning always shines through.
