    PEF recently celebrated 42 first year elementary teachers graduating from PEF's Teacher Induction Program (TIP) during a The Little Engine that Could themed dinner at the Choo Choo. An outgrowth of the highly successful Benwood Initiative, the mission of PEF’s TIP is to provide support, feedback, assistance and guidance to beginning teachers to increase their effectiveness as educators in order to improve student achievement and performance.

    Conference for college admission professionals

    PEF, the Southern Association for College Admission Counseling, and Sewanee: The University of the South proudly present the Camp College Access and Success Conference on Friday, July 20th on Sewanee's campus. This half-day workshop is for college admission professionals from community-based organizations, middle and high schools, and colleges/universities who seek to help underrepresented students through the college process.

    Graduating Leadership Fellows take new skills to classroom

    Twenty-seven Hamilton County educators have recently completed their twelve month tenure as Leadership Fellows and passed the baton to a class of 30 newly selected Fellows. Leadership Fellows has now produced over 400 graduates, including 41 principals, 42 assistant principals and 59 teacher leaders such as school-based instructional coaches and lead teachers.
