PEF has worked for over 25 years to make sure that an investment through PEF is an investment in long-term student success. When you give to PEF, our work becomes your work. You become our partner. And you make a difference in students’ lives.
We are happy to recognize donations in honor or memory of a teacher, family member, friend, or colleague. Simply note the name of the honoree on our online giving form and list the name and address for the gift notification (your gift amount will not be shared with the recipient).
Unrestricted gifts help PEF start and maintain programs – they are the foundation of financial support for any organization. The 2016-17 Annual Fund, as the name implies, operates throughout the fiscal year (July 1 to June 30) to meet the everyday needs of the organization. Honor and memorial gifts are included in the Annual Fund, unless the donor specifies otherwise.
Donors also have the option of designating their gift to a specific program, such as STEP-UP Chattanooga, Leadership Fellows, Teacherpreneur, or any other initiative.
Large gifts, and those made over multiple years, are typically restricted to one or more programs. A signed donation agreement between the donor and PEF will ensure gifts are used for the donor’s intended purpose and made on a mutually-agreed upon schedule.
Estate gifts, including bequests, charitable remainder trusts, and other instruments, are welcome. Donors are strongly encouraged to speak with a tax attorney, CPA, or other financial advisor as we are unable to give legal or tax advice.
