As the Social Capital Project Coordinator, Leah implements the Social Capital pilot program at East Ridge High School. Working alongside the Director and Assistant Director of College & Career Success, Leah cultivates and stewards relationships with community businesses and organizations to increase opportunities for students to forge connections. She will primarily create, facilitate, and evaluate the social capital curriculum to fit the needs of students. Leah is deeply committed to expanding access to opportunities in public education and has personally seen how increasing social capital can positively expand your network and lead to diverse experiences.

Leah is a product of Hamilton County Schools from K-12, and she returned to serve a community that has greatly impacted her. She received a BA in American and Global Studies from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, and she completed her M.Ed. from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Leah has held various positions in both secondary schools and higher education institutions, and her goal is to promote an informed citizenry that is empowered to have an active voice in our global world.

Leah enjoys spending time with friends and family including her husband, son, and two fur children. She stays busy, but you can often find her planning a travel adventure, cooking, gardening, thrifting, listening to music or a podcast, or consuming the content C-SPAN has to offer.
