As Executive Assistant to the President, Joni ensures the efficient operation of the office of the President by effectively prioritizing and managing competing demands and making decisions on matters of considerable importance to the operation of the organization. When necessary, she provides cross-organizational support by delegating work as needed. In order to keep PEF connected and actively engaged on a local, state, and national level, Joni regularly consults with leaders and associates to seek advice on matters that may benefit from broader thinking and to enable the President to make informed decisions regarding the advancement of PEF’s mission and purpose. In addition, Joni serves as liaison and partner to PEF staff members, PEF Board members, and the general public. By providing primary support and communication to the PEF Board she informs members on general PEF activities, hosts formal quarterly meetings, and also disseminates any information requiring Board action.
A proud graduate of Lakeside High School in Atlanta – GO VIKES!—Joni moved on from LHS to the University of Georgia. However, as the daughter of one of Dodd’s boys, her heart will always belong to Georgia Tech. GO JACKETS!
Joni relocated from Atlanta to Chattanooga in 2003 and quickly settled into her role at PEF. Her family and friends make her world go ‘round - and a Border Collie mix that she thinks surely hung the moon!
