Middle school culture has changed in all 20 Hamilton County middle schools over the past seven years through Middle Schools for a New Society. Our MSNS work focuses on three simple goals: reading, math, and the well-being of students. We help educators improve the quality of their instruction so that they can become more effective in the classroom.
As a result, test scores are improving in an environment where students are more engaged, teachers learn collaboratively, and instruction is rigorous for everyone. Through MSNS we have impacted 600+ teachers and more than 9,000 students.
MSNS is a partnership between PEF and the Hamilton County Department of Education with support from the Lyndhurst Foundation and the NEA Foundation.
