The community gathered on October 22, 2014 for a celebration of 25 years of PEF’s mission: to improve student achievement by supporting highly effective teaching, strong leadership, and strategic partnerships that help children succeed in learning and in life.
Olan and Norma Mills
Plaques commemorating the service of each of these pioneers will hang in our 5th floor conference room.
Robert J. “Bo” Sudderth, Jr. (1988 – 1997)
In 1988, it was apparent our public schools needed additional support through increased advocacy and supplementary funding. Through a public education foundation, we could accomplish that.
Ruth S. Holmberg (1997 – 2007)
Good education is essential for a happy and fulfilling life. PEF helps ensure that all students have access to a great education.
James L. Hill (2007 – present)
PEF works every day to improve opportunities for teachers, principals, and most importantly, students. I think there is no greater work that can be done to impact the Chattanooga community.
